As always Deano, it looks brilliant. Do you use a spirit level on the beds?.................

Dug out a trench along the bottom of the balcony today. Had to dig down deep as the soil wasnt great. Filled it up with fresh soil and planted out half of my Sweet Peas. I know its a little early but I have been hardening them off for the last week or ten days.
Left them out overnight last night and they were fine.
They have grown far too big even though they were in deep containers.
And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.
Popped up to the allotment after work and planted out a few more onion sets and my first lot of potatoes (foremost). Found a dead pigeon the fox had buried in my herb bed. I hope this isn't going to be a recurring theme!
Re-aligned the new door on the kite, moved several barrows of chippings, planted some Broad Beans & Peas, then the arsonist inside me took over so had a garden tidy up.

Split two more beds in two = 4 beds!! Edged them with logs for the rustic look.
Deano would hate it, there's not a single straight line anywhere
Tried and failed to count how many beds there are. Each time I count another bed appears. Its more than 20 but less than 30...............I think
Most of the beds have a fruit tree or some fruit bushes. The trees dictated the odd shapes of the beds. Some of the beds have daffs and flowers in, others are up for grabs BTW the veggie plot is completely separate from this area although there are some perennial veg, herbs and rhubarb scattered around.
I think of this as the fruit garden, with flowers
This morning I mowed the front lawn & cut the edges to make it look neater. It's a small rectangular lawn but looks pretty at the moment,I planted a few bulbs under the grass & they're flowering in a line next to some brick edging by the front door. They're purple iris, purple & white crocus & purple anemone, looks lovely amongst the green.
Non-stop rain all day so spent most of the day in mi shed playing with some barrels & a couple of solar panel/pumps I have spare. Hope to rig up a solar watering system in the greenhouse. An upgrade from the gravity fed one I made............

Started chitting my maincrop spuds today. No idea what type they are, they're organic ones that I convinced my mam to get from her work (works in a kitchen in a school). She dropped them in for me today. In the growhouse chitting now. Hopefully ready to go in in mid April.
