  • More plant juggling. Potted on lots of chilli's, tomatoes and aubergines. Done a bit more on my sweet pea frames ( looking dreadfully unattractive, hopefully they will be fine when covered in sweet peas).

    • not really a grow your own but I spent a while this morning digging and levelling a space for DD outdoor house - she wanted a treehouse but have talked her into a shed/summerhouse by our big conifer, with promise will plant another tree next to her den. It is a small space but filled a bed with the spare soil (and all it's to be removed stones).

      • Potted on all my tom seedlings, now filled with mighty uncertainty if I've done it too soon ...? Left them in unheated GH and looked at weather forecast and its gonna be -1 aargh!!! DH thinks I bother more about my ' babies' than him ...?!!
Potted up 150 onion sets and 4 garlic bulbs (broken into cloves).
Think might leave potting on my chillis, just for now, it's still soo cold!

        • Not much today but I have planted a few more tomato plants into their final positions in the GH and a courgette in a pot. They've been toughening up in another GH for a couple of weeks with a bit of bubble wrap for a duvet overnight.
Its a bit of gamble but I have plenty more seedlings waiting in the wings if the weather turns really cold.
Remember everyone, I'm Nuts...............no sane person plants their tomatoes out this early in the year.

it may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.

            • Just went and checked everything for slug/snail damage after some fairly heavy rain overnight.

              Amazingly, there's none.

                      • Tidied my shed, had a little Burn up of rubbish from shed. Violently attacked my strawberry mint with bug spray. Finally finished my sweet pea frames. The fish boxes they are attached to are now full of lovely rotted down manure. Halfway through building a little rain shelter for the chickens ( they couldn't possibly go into their house when rains ). Would of finished it but other half took his drill to work with him. Very inconsiderate when I want to us it

                        • Stood a few 8 X $ boards in position to get an idea how many I will need to build my summerhouse. Should have enough usable timber to complete the task.
Some toe rag has decided to lob a stone through one of my greenhouse windows. The glass is a special size roughly 5 foot X 2 foot six inches so will be a bugger to replace.
Had a walk around the Dene behind the allotments to get an idea of the lay of the land. Someone must have climbed a cliff, then climbed a tree at the top of the cliff just so they could lob a clemmie through my greenhouse window.
Kids are off school for a fortnight so can only assume thats' who it was!

Same, although I also had to chainsaw them to size first.
