Decision in! T5 light ordered! Gunna stick with the "Stewart's" variable heated propagator this season having never grown under lights before, did a load of research n reading on various things, rebranded myself on Google n utube, get this next few days out of the way, and gunna have a good few days off!
Then the fun shall begin!
Only just realised! Even my edited text of "Predicted" text got repredicted to "Proactive" text!
I give in!

Today i cleared a few hanging baskets and through them into the garden waste bin. I then cleaned out two of my nest boxes. Removed the old blue tit nest from last year out of one and an old wasp nest out of another.
Spent a few hours log stacking till my hips gave in...................so tried something a little different. Emptied last years Parsnip bed & decanted all the medium into a bigger bed I already prepared & almost filled last Autumn. This gave me a much needed extra path. I Managed to pull a half dozen Parsnips that evaded my earlier attempt to clear the bed........................must go to Sp3cs4vers.............

I planted up 35 (from 2 bulbs!!) cloves of garlic - if they all make it I'll have a LOT of garlic come autumn. They're currently in small pots as I have no idea where I'm going to place 35 garlic cloves. I've hegded my bets and have put half inside and half outside. Last year they rotted away in all the rain we had and I only had two left.
The third of four chilli types has finally started germinating - no sign of the fourth yet. Could do with doing some pricking out of the others really but I'm putting it off for a little while.
Spent a few hours at the plot putting my woodchip round my new raised beds then sowed a few of my new tomatoes around 100 or so .
Gunna put new polytunnel up tomorrow weather permitting.

Well I've been threatening to take some of the bush out at the bottom of the garden for weeks now so i can extend my vegetable patch but for absolutely no reason whatsoever, still havn't done it. I looked at it for about 30 seconds today and then decided that a cup of tea was a better option. I was going to do it tomorrow but I've just seen the weather forecast for the next couple of days, so i won't be doing it then either.
It was a nice mild day, so I did some weeding in the garden then tidied the shed to make room for seed-sowing activities. Not too long now before I can get going!

Uncovered all the beds, tickled them with a hoe, by they did laugh...............knocked up another Strawberry bed so growing wise I'm more or less ready to rock'n'roll................

Today i did lots of weeding and found some more old garlic that has sprouted up from a formed bulb from last year, so i have separated the cloves/sprouted things and their roots are now having a good soaking in fresh water, if they take great, if not nothing much lost but a little time
I bought a several bags of 50l bags of soil and have cut them sideways and planted some potatoes direct into the bag, again if they want to grow it is up to them enough space to add more compost on top maybe another 20l.
Sprinkled my chitted chive seeds over a large ish seed tray and hopefully will be able to separate them once they are bigger into clumps.
Mr L also made the other new shelves for the PT.
Along with seed sowing etc
I grow 70% for us and 30% for the snails, then the neighbours eats them
More tidying up, in between rain downpours. Sowed some carrot seed (Amsterdam Forcing 3) in the greenhouse carrot bed. Chopped some logs and spent way too much time sitting infront of the fire, I was planning the beds in my head so not totally wasted time, honest
I bought my seed potatoes today, well the main crop anyways 40 white and 17 red. Haven´t a clue on the names and when i asked i got told they were red potatoes and white potatoes big ones
Also eyed up the poor ladies stuck in the cages, think i might bring some more home this week.
