Here Chrissie! It's like NASA space station in here! iMac's! I'pad's! iPhone's! i'pods! and I confess to not being a computer geek!
But it's working! So that's a bonus!

I dug over my carrot bed in the little tunnel and the bed in the big tunnel. Collected so much stone In the process, I've made a stone entrance to the tunnel, because I'm getting sick of the big muddy patch outside the door and walking it all into the tunnel.
Sprayed all the joints with WD40 on the polytunnel frame I am taking down
While that was soaking in I went to new plot. Managed to get three sides of the new summerhouse base decking cut and fastened onto the single breeze block surround with masonry nails. The other side is the door side so I measured position of window and door and realised I need to cement a couple of breeze blocks into position before I can progress at this end.
I only have a vague plan in my head as to what I am doing, so i am blagging it as i go along by using sizes of existing glass panes and door as a guide.
Seems to be working out ok though and i am pleased with progress. I have some cement in my old hut so will bring some sand with me on my next visit and try and get the base finished.
I will build the door end first and use that as an external size template for the other end of the summerhouse.
I went back to my old plot and the WD40 had worked its magic so I dismembered the frame and carried it along to my project plot.
My Majesty made for him a garden anew in order to present to him vegetables and all beautiful flowers.- Offerings of Thutmose III to Amon-Ra (1500 BCE)
Forked over a bit near the shed and pulled up a bucket full of ground elder roots.
Planted a fig in the bit I cleared above.
Washed two barrow fulls of gravel.
^Thought I must be an idiot and what do other people do - hire a mini digger and dig it all in?
Forked and mulched another bed.
Got a bit down at just how long the gravel/lawn area is going to take me
Went over the allotment early before I started work. Strimmed back a load of weeds/couch grass on the new half, and weedkillered the stumps. Ripped up a load more landcape fabric that the previous occupant had put down. This is not the nice, thick heavyweight permeable plastic, but the thin cottony type stuff, so all the weeds have grown through it grrr....
Potted on a load of seedlings, my dining room table is now covered. I also took delivery of an azada hoe, hoping it will make getting rid of the weeds much easier.
Used some cement I've had in the allotment shed for two years mixed with sand to cement two breeze blocks into the entrance of my summerhouse.
All was going fine until the heavens opened! Covered the part cemented breeze blocks until it abated and hisd in the greenhouse. The greenhouse has broken glass and panes missing so I finished up huddled in the corner
When it was safe to venture back out the cement I had left had turned to slurry so I brushed and floated it over the concrete base as an impromptu screed!

Done loads of "housekeeping" stuff this morning (day off- yay!). Over there early again this morning, more strimming done. As I had the OH with me, we ripped up a load of oddly placed wood on the new plot (think they were supposed to be edging), as well as barrowed off a load of wood chippings and levelled the area, so the 18" deep hole isnt quite so deep now. Also sorted out the area behind the shed and emptied the two water butts (blurgh, glad the oh was with me for that, it was grim). I filled two raised beds with the last of my Jacks Magic compost and my lovely boyfriend also sorted the latch on the gate, that didnt actually latch to anything... Busy morning!
More plant juggling. Finished emptying the big compost bin. Dressed the border in the front garden with 8 barrow loads of the really well composted stuff. Fed my bigger chilli plants, got 2 tunnel beds and 3 outside raised beds ready for planting up (hopefully start this weekend).
Today I've been feeding my fruit trees & some shrubs with sulphate of potash, then mulched over with a bit of old compost & sticks & stones (cat). I noticed both my gooseberries have started to look alive,I planted the dead looking sticks about a month ago & didn't think they would grow but they are.
