Spent almost an hour sorting out toms - have neglected them of late except for feeding/watering. Extra, taller canes added as they had forked more than I realised. Trimmed lots of leaves off - greenhouse floor looked as though a tom massacre had taken place looks much better now, & I found trusses I didn't know I had!

Otherwise watered/ fed everything & sowed 2 trays of pea shoots.

I finished my fence yesterday after a few weeks of breaking up concrete, digging post holes in very sticky clay soil, carrying postcrete bags and concrete posts. Yay me!
Today all I had left to do was to paint one fence panel, then the prettifying could begin! Here's the seating area on the patio! I'm mighty proud of myself

My neighbour gave his garden a good soaking yesterday & half my patio,water was puddling & I thought that's strange it's not raining,somethings having a big wee,I had no idea,then I had to get a close up to find out the truth,I looked over the fence I thought a pipe might have burst or an emergency was happening,but it was my neighbours sprinkler that he'd left for probably hours I don't know,I went round & told him & he said thanks & I didn't have to water all my main crop spuds

Weeding in my mum's garden. Her flowerbeds are choked with creeping buttercup, so I spent ages pulling it up.

Only to discover that she's rescued some to plant in a flower pot, because she's quite fond of it after all. I can't imagine it'll behave itself in a flower pot for too long.....

Planted out my climbing french beans. Dug up some early tatties for dinner. Stuck in some spare onion sets where the tattiers had been, probably to use as spring onions.

I have weeded the patio, planted up two window baskets for the front of the house and managed to hang them too close together, so will have to move them at some point. Planted up tomatoes and shoved them outside to fend for themselves. Planted out the cucamelons into a large pot and also shoved outside. Planted out sweetcorn, more tomatoes, sowed beans as the others got munched. Painted some pretty pots, weeded lots of established plant pots, moved things around, brushed all the paths and patio, watered everything thoroughly cause it was HOT today! Lots more, but I can't remember LOL

This morning I added some BFB to the bed I dug over yesterday - I want to get some pot bound brassicas in there at the weekend.
Discovered a blackcurrant bush in amongst the 4' high weeds that covered the bed just mentioned, complete with ripening blackcurrants! I'll try and net the whole bed once my kale and cabbages are in.
Watered the basket toms in the polytunnel.

I trust Jonny is looking at seed saving, when dead heading you squeeze the excess water out
