  • Done a bit of tidying in the tunnels, dumping planted that are refusing to produce but taking up space.
French beans, runner beans and aubergines, are now in the compost bin, thanks to my little furry friends with long tails. Cutting them off 3 inches above the ground. Aubergines had just started to fruit and runner beans only been producing for the last 3 or 4 weeks.

    • Harvested a tupperware box full of blackberries Harvested five courgettes.Did a bit of work on my chicken coop on new plot. The egg collecting hatch and small window above now shut properly. Was so chuffed, I painted the front face of coop with dark brown poundland wood preserver!
My Majesty made for him a garden anew in order
to present to him vegetables and all beautiful flowers.- Offerings of Thutmose III to Amon-Ra (1500 BCE)

          • Yesterday I spent a good three hours down the plot, mainly dredging my drainage channels in preparation for lining and covering. Also, I turned and added stuff to 4 of my daleks, and started digging out one of my paths that was slowly turning into a couch grass infestation.
Weed growth seems to be slowing down, and I'm enjoying getting stuck into some meaty structural jobs again.

            • Went to the plot and painted up a bench my dad had given me. Hacked back some brambles coming through from the plot next door and tied back some raspberry canes. Bundled up the bamboo canes that have been languishing behind the shed. It still looks like steptoe's yard behind the shed, needs a real good tidy up behind there.

Took a trip to ikea and bought some plain wooden crates to lug produce home in. A few tester pots of Wilko emulsion, and the below is the end result.
