    • Had a long chat with Simon and Trevor ( my Dorset Naga's). Cut some leaves away from my pumpkins to help them ripen. Pulled up some carrots. Stuck another 2 little wooden butterflies on my pimped shed ( after I'd painted them lilac)

And am sure if memory serves well you said you wasn't a "Girly Girl"

        I may be wrong!

Comes with age n the fact I forget at time's what I actually walked in a room for!

But "Lilac" is a very soothing colour!

        • Dug up two more rows of tatties and filled a proppa tattie brown paper storage sack I got off my allotment neighbour!

I know its not recommended to wash them first, but i did. I wanted to make sure there was no keel slug damage as they leave a tiny hole on the outside, but destroy the inside.I was surprised to find that Kestrel, which are supposed to be slug resiatant suffered worse than Elfe? There still wasn't more than half a dozen affected but still glad I checked.

Great minds Jason! I've decided to do a blog also but to combine mine with all my hobbies and pastimes (Of which I have quite a few)
In fact, I've got so many interests I may struggle to have time to do a blog!

                  • Cut dead & manky leaves of squash plants & did a bit of a weed. Decided the peas need to come up. Had planned to sow winter spinach but hubby managed to pull his ankle over a pane of double glazing in the garden so had to respond to shouts for help & give first aid to his impressively bloody but fortunately shallow ankle wound! It's now dark.....
                    Another happy Nutter...

                    • Tried out my new W*lf Garten cultiweeder (as recommended by VC) - love it!!
Started widening my drainage trenches to accommodate the clay drainage pipes I picked up for free off Gumtr*e - probably above and beyond what's necessary tbh, but I can't resist a freebie!

                      • Dug up another row of spuds. Washed and filled another cardboard box with them. Thats three cardboard boxes and a paper sack up til now and I am only half way up the plot.
What I have noticed is that now the tattie tops have died back the bindweed can't believe its luck at the ammount of light its geting and is making a bid for world domination!
Spent the rest of the evening playing at being Tarzan swinging on the bindweed vines and pulling them up.. I'll try and get the majority of the spagetti roots when i dig the rest of the spuds up!

Picked yet more runners and another cucumber, stuffed a bit of illicit hay under pumpkin No.3 to make him more comfortable - and that's about it...! Oh, and off to work...!

                          • Watered the greenhouse plants. Went and had a game of pitch and putt. It then decided to rain. Spent the afternoon making Chilli Chutney. All jarred up and kitchen restored to normal. Hubby is now making dinner.

                              • This afternoon the big polytunnle got a fairly large sort out. Lots of cutting back, cutting down, ripping up, weeding and moving. All in the aid of making more space for my chilli's
