The Seed Sowing Thread - 2016

Sowed my durham early cabbages today to over winter.

Sowed some salad leaves, lettuce and beetroot, last night (tues).

Sowed purple haze carrots in the potato bag I've just harvested some Arran pilot first earlies. Covered them with clear plastic to keep the moisture in there.

Fennel, spring onions, Rainbow radish, broccoli raab, sown today.

Sowed Autumn King 2 eight days ago outdoor under fleece and they have all germinated.Sowed three buckets of Orla in the greenhouse for Christmas which were ones that were a little green or a bit damaged.

Sowed some autumn king carrots around my leeks in a big pot Sowed a pot of runway rocket & a pot of 7 kulata cerna radish. Sowed some best of all swede where my plum tree used to be in the border & some gowrie swede in my raised bed in the gaps.

Sowed broccoli raab, pak choi & Spanish winter radish in the bed I prepared earlier this week. Planted out baby foordhook giant chard for autumn/winter - does that count? Will be direct sowing turnip greens, lambs lettuce & salad radishes this evening, and winter spinach & mixed lettuce in modules as well. Ooh, & Nero Di to scan a kale in modules to, some for greenhouse & some for outside under cover.

Sowed some more gowrie swede in little pots on the table - far away from cats messing on them.

Sowed some little gem lettuce today. That should see me through the autumn now.

Meant to do it a few days ago but life got in the way, so today sowed broccoli raab, corn lettuce & more winter radish in ground, & kale & mixed lettuce in pots.
