            • Corn salad, Lamb's lettuce, Artic King lettuce, Catalogna, Red leaf mustard, Mixed leaves and spinach. All sown for the polytunnel to use for salad leaves. I still enjoy a salad, even in the cooler months!

              • Similar to the previous 3 posts, I've recently sown some more rocket. I can usually keep it going in the cold greenhouse over winter, and be able to harvest some leaves year round even if things slow down during the winter months.

                          • Today I direct sowed 12 broad bean Aquadulce in the tunnel bed - put some wire mesh down over them until they show, so hopefully the mice won't dig them up.
Sowed a small row of my own garlic from the best bulb of this year's crop - also meshed, this time against birds.

                            • My Ailsa Craig onion seedlings have germinated.

I read somewhere you can sow them in the autumn so considering there is 1000 seeds in the packet, I thought I'd give a dozen of them a go and see what happens and if they fail, well, I've got more than enough seeds still to go again in the Spring.
