Today I harvested - 2016

Some yummy Strawberries, Bijou mangetout, broad beans, a courgette, the first beetroot, some bolted onions and leeks and a cauli that's bolted so fast I had difficulty catching it.
Stir fry tonight and a bowl of strawbs.
Summer is here - would I lie to you?

Oh my, should have started digging up the first Earlies a few weeks ago, they are quite big, look really nice, will look forward to eating those, too big for 'salad potatoes '. Rocket.

Side salad for dinner - various lettuce, rocket (from the flower bed - can't get rid of it!), bronze fennel, flat leave parsley, young turnip greens, marjoram & borage flowers to make it look pretty

330 grams of new potatoes but do not know what as I found the potato in my sack left over from last year. So pentland javelin or Abbott.

Nice. They could well be Pentland Javelin: very round and very white. I don't know Abbott though.

Don't see why not CG, got mine in a large tub with other bits and pieces. It's cut and come again by the looks of it. Worth a shot

My first clutch of broad beans and FIRST courgette...!
Also: mixed mild leaf salad, catalogna leaves and mizuna (just eaten half of it with lunch...)

Potato harvest

My first 4 haulms of Colleen potatoes.
I had no intention of lifting my potatoes yet but four of the plants were showing distinct signs of Blackleg.
They were planted on March 14th so they are a fair size.
Just hoping the rest will be OK.
On the plus side, we will be having new potatoes for dinner tonight.
