Today I harvested - 2016

6 mangetout,1 f/runner ,1 Courgette.

Teeny-weeny baby carrots (sown in a tub in March), 3 whopping courgettes, 2 beetroot:

All have since been consumed.. Beetroot leaves wilted in a splash of olive oil and chopped garlic (oh yes, that was home grown too!!) along with roughly chopped courgette

First crop of 1st early potatoes, Orla, which were planted 10 weeks ago today. Eaten within an hour of harvesting - totally delicious.

Also harvested broad beans and alpine strawberries.

Lsat year's swiss chard flowers, cabbage sarmash (all the tastier because it was old seed bought for 25p) -a new variety to me but is excellent. Courgettes, mangetout, charlotte and duke of york potatoes, raspberries (a few, strawberries, a small bunch of carrots. Oh yes the first two sungold tomatoes, which being the dutiful wife I shared.

Picked my first couple of squash. One was the recommended size but the other one I picked a bit prematurely. Not sure how I'm cooking these yet but not much on them so might just slice and fry.

I'm still waiting for my first cuc to flower ...............

However, there were two courgettes to pick ..... they're doing really well ....

Today I picked my first three Sungold tomatoes. Had them at lunchtime with my salad.

A jug of raspberries and a load of strawberries that became jam this afternoon.
My first ever Chioggia beetroot, Bijou mangetout, broad beans and a pointy cabbage.
