Today I harvested - 2016

Haven't posted on this thread for a week so in the last week;

Several lots of toms, lots of huauzontle, raapini, purple carrots, dfb, rasps, runners, blackberries, courgettes, cucumbers, herbs & my first mystery chilie.ll

Pulled up all of my second clump of chard to make way for something else. Part way through batch processing for freezer. Slightly depressing when a bucket of leaves reduces down to 4 very small bags for the freezer! Such is the way of many leave greens though.....

Picked the last of my toms from GH today ~ a large bucketful - then composted the plants ....

Lots of room now for my chilli plants and peppers to breathe a bit and get some sunshine to continue ripening .......

I need them to hurry up ~ not much time left to put in an entry for my chillis in the VVS!!!

We've been out all day so I just managed to pick a tub of raspberries before it went to dark.

Picked the last of the outdoor toms, some autumn rasps, last of the Scarlet Emperor runner beans, some firestorm runners (which have performed much better than the SE, starting earlier and still plenty to go), and 3 courgettes.

Just harvested my onions. Worst onion harvest ever haha.

Most of them are tiny with the odd decent one. Just one of those things i suppose.

Well! Winding it down now! Not been the best! But well happy with what I Have had!

Last of the cucs - 3 normal ones, 4 tiny ones, & 1 enormous one for next year's seeds. Courgettes, (thinking of ripping them up now) dfb, runners. First black winter radish. Eldest dug up 3 more purple carrots.

the last of the runner beans and a few beetroot. Pulled a few marble sized broot, absolutley delicious!

Chilli peppers and tomatoes. Parsley and spring onions and a piece of ginger which is still growing away.

Courgettes, turks turban, toms & a purple carrot. Really need to eat some Swiss chard soon - so much of it & it's huuuuuge!

3hrs worth of collecting a huuuuge bag of our hazelnuts.
Must weigh them tomorrow!

3lb of grapes off a vine in front of house. Was supposed to replace 2 climbing roses that seemed to be dieing off. Funnily enough, feeding the vine seems to have given the roses a new lease of life.

Also 5lb off a neglected one in the garden - grapes small but still sweet enough to eat and for birds to have started eating.

This is competing with a gooseberry bush, some selfseeded rasperries and a stand of nettles.
