Growing ginger

Was in Wilkinson today buying every potatoes tubers they sell and ended up buying some ginger root aswell but not got a clue how to grow it .

Help required please.

I got my ginger from the supermarket, soaked overnight, planted then it grew.

Sadly, the removal man dropped its large pot in Nov so that was the end of that but they seem to grow very easily.

I also have a pineapple I paid 49p for from one of the cheap supermarkets - twisted the top off and ate what was left, into a hyacinth vase until the roots started then into compost. It's doing really well.

I keep buying some when i do a big shop with all intentions to try and grow it, but i end up cooking with it, maybe i should buy a extra one next time

Not ginger but my 49p and very tasty too 9 month old pineapple!
