New Edibles from the Crazy Plant Growers....

After looking through the latest T&M booklet there are a few new plants they are raving about and I am seriously thinking about investing in a few.

Has anyone had these or are going to try them this year?

Fuschia "berries" are edible - though some taste better than others. I nibble Mrs Popples so won't be trying this "new" one.

Not sure what's special about the calendula?

The blackberry in a hanging basket looks too perfect to be true!

Please don't pay £14.99 for 5 pot marigold plug plants

I am intrigued by fuschia berries but I am still a bit wussy when it comes to eating flowery plants. Am now wondering if it is worth trying to grow normal blackberries in baskets Climbing varieties of veg can do well in a basket - I feel an experiment coming on.

Echo what Norfolk grey said a packet of seeds with about a 100 seeds can be bought for £2 or less. They are so easy from seed.
I rarely find new and improved live up to the hype.

That was my first thought too.....Fifteen quid for Calendula? I've got them sprouting all over the place on my plot....for free!

The blackberry looked nice but overall I'm not tempted as I have to stick to an El Cheapo budget this year....would rather spend the cash on material for building paths and raised beds. I still have a few seeds to buy but will be sourcing this from either Wilko or Fleabay
