Outdoor Cordon Tomato & Cucumber Advice Please!

Once one of the kite's has been emptied, I plan to use it to grow "Outdoor" varieties of both Toms & Cucs due to the kite having a netted roof as opposed to covered. I have goggled several sites for varieties but it's not the same as first hand experience so please tell me what you would grow. I'm looking to grow standard size Cordon Toms not Bush.

I grew Crimson Crush outside last year. Grown for their blight resistance but I quite liked them. Found them quite meaty and tasty.

Our site is pretty bad for blight, so another vote for Crimson Crush. I liked them a lot, though mine wanted to produce tomatoes on the large side. Harbinger was also good, but no blight resistance at all, so I grow those early for a small crop before they are defeated.

I know it's an F1 (please don't think badly of me!) but for standard size cordon toms, Shirley does well for me out in the garden, but it's not blight resistant - more's the pity

I've shoved some spare Gardener's Delight in the outdoor beds a few times. They've done pretty well although I've done better with bush types outside. Suspect your tunnel will still provide some protection though and support will be easier than in an open bed so you'll be at an advantage.

For outdoor cucumbers, I find it hard to go wrong with Marketmore...

Tomatoes that did well for me outdoors seems to change year on year (well it depends on the weather I suppose) but Totem was one, another was Gardeners Delight....possibly Maskotka too...

Don't think you can beat La Diva for half size cucs

That's bad as I didn't think there was much blight around last year - could gave been different over your way though. Let us know how you do

Thanks Alison, have just been checking my stash as I thought I had Crimson Crush but no, I was wrong so have decided to give "Orkado" a bash as I've not grown them before.

Another vote for Sungold here. Shirley does fairly well outdoors although it was very late ripening last year and chocolate cherry did well in 2014 (but hadn't much flavour). Totem grows well outdoors but is a bush variety.

This year I am trying Mountain Magic and Ferline, both of which are supposed to have some blight resistance.

I'm growing Sungold this year for the first time and all the reviews i have read, they seem absolutely brilliant. So without having grown them myself, i would suggest Sungold.

I grew Sungold last year (Indoors) but am looking for something a little larger (Outdoors).
