Storing Sturon Onion sets until allotment is ready?
Errrr......I did what people suggested and they appear to have grown really quickly what should I do now please? Pot them on or leave them? I don't have access to a greenhouse or cold frame and my raised beds are probably two weeks away from being ready ie they aren't built yet!
If you have a local Wilko, this is a cheap solution to no cold frame Wilko PVC Cloche Greenhouse with 2 Openings at wilko.com
I have 4 of these and they are really useful - I put insect mesh over them in summer for keeping the beasties off things like cabbages and carrots. Just make sure that you weigh the frame and cover down with bricks or something similar so it doesn't blow away.
