There's too many who've jumped on the organic bandwagon in my opinion and this is mainly so they can make more money. I'm not saying all, as some do truly do believe and care.

The perception is organic=healthy.... Hmmm snake bites and nightshade are organic, I'd not advocate ingesting those. common sense and honest thought should prevail.

Of all the posts, I think Snadgers post sums my perceptions and opinions up the best.

At the end of the day, it's down to each individual to decide what they can live with and accept. All I ask is that you think about it and not just accept marketing and mass thought.

The only reason people get lost in thought is because it's unfamiliar territory....

Always remember you're unique, just like everyone else.

Being "organic" like being "green" is never as straightforward as it seems. I'm another who would advocate being sensible about it, and certainly pay attention to the fact that just because something is natural does not mean it is harmless. How to define organic is really difficult. For example if you buy organic seeds, does this just mean that they haven't been coated in fungicide? Have they been taken from plants which have never been sprayed? Have the parent plants been grown in organic compost (and what does that mean)? Are you "allowed" to use any artificial feed? Plastic plant pots? Where do you stop?

I find it incredibly difficult to go down any route like this in isolation. Gardening is part of a much bigger picture, one in which we all need to consider what we are doing to the environment in terms of what we buy and use, what we throw away (and how we dispose of it) and how we can do our bit. Everyone will have different priorities, and if yours is to be totally organic, best of luck with it.
