  • Just Sorted my tomato plants in my big growhouse. All in their places with strings and stakes.

The stakes down the middle row are so I can move those tomato plants and buckets out the way to get in and water/sideshoot etc.

Yes, it looks it but i can assure you that they are all about 45cm's apart which is what is recommended on the back of all their packets.

I've left the door on the growhouse rolled up tonight for the first time this year as (thankfully) the weather is looking good from now on...

        • a little update for June

          Indoor tomatoes growing well

Outdoor tomatoes in there final pots now and permanently outside, Im pleased with the size of them this year, last year I sowed them early Feb and they were too big too handle easily come end of may/june, this year end of feb and much easier

Just need to put some stakes in but will do that tomorrow.

                • Ate my first Shirley today from this plant sown in January

SO much nicer than the little Balconi tomatoes (sorry Balconi - you are really really useful, you just don't taste quite like Shirley!)

I'm watching and waiting for my first flower to start to die so I can see my first tomato. Not long hopefully...
