hi new to the forum ime chitting some heritage potatoes to plant in tubs in the green house there called violetta which are black inside and emellie which are reddont know if its abit early cant find much about them any thoughts would be helpfull

Welcome to the Vine. I'm not sure what your question actually is. Too early for chitting? - no but keep them frost free and in good light. Too early for planting? - yes in the open ground but you might get away with it in a greenhouse if it is frost free.

Red Emmalie is actually a variety that was created only a few years ago. It is an early maincrop potato. I grew it last year and found it a nice, clean spud with some disease tolerance. The tubers were on the small side but gave a very pink mash. Just don't make mash from red emmelie and blue salad at the same time as that gives a very off putting grey coloured mash.
