Are you finding the bigger pots are increasing yield? To my mind, they definitely are..
Presume they are yellow Jalapeno seed? Where did you get them if you don't mind me asking?
I got them in a seed swap....(it said Orange on the pack?) they are one of my successes of bagged chilli flowers so hoping I can put them in our chilli swap...ive two! So I'm hoping there will be enough seeds to go around but I will send you some regardless.

Yes, the bigger the pot, the bigger the plant! Ive had the best year ive ever had though my seed saving in bags hasn't been as successful as I wished. They often dropped off!

Good to hear! Without doubt, this is my best year growing chillies too..
Definitely, the larger buckets and the lights are making a big difference..I also (so far ) have been relatively okay with somewhere indoors to keep them until they can go out to greenhouses. That said, as usual I have waaaaaaay too many

        • Looking to get myself a heated propagator for my chilli seeds.

Any links to some good ones that don't cost the earth would be great...

My bagged have been pretty good actually. One called Kristian has been doing really well. Bright yellow chillies and really sweet. Those and the Hungarian blacks are going in the swap (plus any varieties I have that are missing from the parcel)

Ive got an old Sankey - it's gotta be close to 15years old and still going strong. Mine hasn't got a temp. Control but it hasn't stopped germination at all...though mine is a large one. Check the sizing before you buy. I think Jack may have bought something similar at the beginning of the season.

                      • I bought a garland super 7 and a cheap smaller one from either @ldi / l1dl (they're the same place to me) - both have been fab and I have no complaints at all. I like the super 7 one because you can remove the lids individually when things germinate. The supermarket one is just one big lid and it was a nightmare keeping on top of the vent and pricking out. I'd definitely recommend separate lids!

Yep the separate containers are very handy for stuff that germinates at different rates and/or for keeping different varieties or veg separate..

                          • Only just ripening, must admit I'm getting worried.

Love the colour of this one mid way through ripening. It's called Kristian and haven't seen it sold that often.

Where did you get the seed from? Or did you buy the plant?
