They are in the conservatory at the moment but it can get quite chilly by the windows
Chillies do succumb to the cold draught if left on a windowsill especially if its the wrong side of the curtain!I'd be more tepmted with the conservatory if your rooms inside get very hot, then cold etc as the heating gets turned on and off.
Your Lemon drop should over winter fine. They always seem to be healthy here. I have left mine on my kitchen window when i havent had much room elsewhere. It rarely loses many leaves. Mine, even though ive cut it down is still fruiting. I've never tried over wintering a Jalapenos, they crop very well from an early sowing, so if that gets an aphid attack I'd bin it to stop it transferring to your lemon drop. (or get them in the shower)
The demon red is another annum, again this one should produce well from an early sowing next year if your current one bites the dust but as its a compact variety personally I wouldn't prune at all.keep it on the kitchen window and see how it fairs.

      • They over ŵinter beautifully. Look at the first post of this thread..some pics of my lemon drop in February this year. In their second year the plant gives a huge crop, they are often very slow to start.

          • Yes, ive pruned it to around a foot tall. Ive not got any lights,so I'm cautious. I often get some stems die back and will give it another prune come spring. Fingers crossed.

                        • My Lemon Drop still has a load of fruit on it so I haven't been able to trim it back yet.

                          Such prolific plants
