  • Would've loved to have given them a try, and appreciate the generous offer, but as I've no chilli experience, thought I'd leave it for others who know what they're doing!!!
All my teeny babies are coming along nicely now, even after being potted on ...

    • Apparently I have my first chillis...

Unfortunately I can't remember what they are - and I lost the marker. Purple something I think .. which is not really that helpful!!

                        • Hi all - just finalising my layout plans (aka cramming more stuff in) so quick question... I'm planning on keeping my chilies in pots - will a MFB be the right kind of size? Bigger, smaller, just right?

                          Thanks in advance

Depends on the variety vixylix. Some varieties are bred to stay small and be windowsill varieties, others will grow tall and vigorous and/or straggly.

Peppers don't like a pot that is either too big or too small. I'd suggest be flexible and make the judgement as things develop as to when you move up to a bigger pot.

                              • All my chillies are grown in MFB. If ive got a bigger pot, they get saved for my overwintered plants. The only plant that's going to be smallish is your Demon Red I think? But if you've got the space and you're not going to put it on the kitchen windowsill I'd go for the black flower buckets.
