The day that Microsoft makes something that doesn't suck ...

... is the day they make vacuum cleaners

Scarlet, I can't get them into the house.. they're all in MFB's and I'd get told off!

I have a very warm conservatory but it has an open window and the sliding door is normally open.. the greenhouse with the other chillies is around ten metres away.. is it possible I could dodge crossing!?

I've got a tiller in mine! Hahaha Throttle handle needs replacing. Doubling as a clothes horse at the minute

My habanero chillies are growing much better than a week ago thanks to a decent few days of sun. Even the sickly Moruga has recovered a bit of it's vigour, though the shape is ruined for this year.

On balance though it's not been the best start to the chilli growing year.
I lost several of my biggest plants (3 yr or older) late on in the winter dormancy.
It's been a winter that never really got going, though it still insisted on lingering well into spring. When finally there was a suggestion of warmer times ahead, a final blast more akin to February than April just succeeded in upsetting the balance once more. So it's been harder to gauge the watering requirements during 'winter' (possibly why some died), and everything that survived has been set back several weeks.
Greenfly have been worse than usual (debilitating, but especially at a time when the plants are already low on energy).
And I lost all my seedlings this year (my own fault), though I have since substituted with a range of plug plants, now potted up and doing well.

                      • ...I've eaten one...

My largest Hungarian started to show slight signs of Orange..I wanted to try one 'Green'..

It was very nice, thick crunchy skin, very fruity taste, hints of citrus and a bit cucumbery.. lol

The heat was fine, not that hot.. although the stalk end with the seeds in was hotter, do they get hotter as they ripen!?

                          • Will do!

I don't really like a lot of heat, so I'm experimenting this year, next year something slightly warmer!
                            But nothing like the superhots!
If I can't eat it, I don't want to grow it!

                              • My new adopted chilli plants are very little but look nice and strong Tomorrow I will repot and take a picture.

Slightly off topic... I got three 'mystery' plants at the allotment plant sale a few weeks ago. But have no idea what they are (other than that they are chillis/peppers) is there any way of identifying them or will I just have to wait and see what they produce? They're going great guns in the blowaway at the moment, some teeny tiny flower pods are forming.
