  • They are looking great Trip. Captain that trimmed hungarian wax looks like it will give you twice as many fruits...lovely looking plants.
I need to take some photos of mine, all I took today was a couple of flowers.

    Alma paprika

The first fruit on my Tri colour Variegata

      • Scarlet/Trip, both varieties are in 5 inch pots as they are still small. Have attached photos.

        Prairie Fire

        Apache

Neither variety have grown much since they were put into the 5 inch pots! Neither are very bushy which I thought these varieties were...especially the Apache.

        Thanks for your advice guys!

              • Diluted Tom feed (half the strength per the instructions ) is good.
Personally I would definately pick off the flowers from the prairie fire. The Apache will bush out, early days for both of those plants, Hmm, it's difficult I would be tempted to take them off? Can you wait another couple of weeks?

                • Yes absolutely Scarlet...I'll remove the flower buds just now. I've got a few of each so will do half and compare! Thanks again both!

                  • I usually grow two plants of each^^^ harvest from one early and you've got the other for back up.
They look healthy though with a good colour. Remember that they will still fruit come October. Ive often had plants fruiting at Christmas.

                      • I usually miss posting pics of my chilli seeds in the VVS as they often aren't ready in September, they are usually still ripening. Christmas is unusual but Ive had a few plants that have fruited that late.

                            • Do you manage to use all the fruit? We love chillies here but not sure we could use that many Scarlet. Froze ours last season and just finished using the last of them!

                              • I love to cook Jay, I make lots of chutney and Jams, jellies oils and dry them etc and use them mostly for gifts. I also use them on Christmas wreaths, again I gift these at Christmas and they are well received...but on clearing out my freezer a few weeks ago I had several bags of Habs still in there I just can't stop sowing the seed
