  • Think mine have decided not to grow! They are still very small (prairie fire and apache) although the cayenne have caught up and I have some chillis on them. Still hoping the others will catch up!

The pretty in purple came good after paintbrush pollinating and keeping them really dry!

        I'm no expert Susie!

But it can't hurt, also I was watering too much, started to let them get slightly droopy between waterings which may have helped!?

          • Next year i am going to grow a few different types of chilli's. Got them on my watch list on ebay from premier seeds direct.

            Jalapeno
Hungarian yellow wax hot (is that just hungarian hot wax?)
            Cayenne Long Slim
            Satans Kiss
            Lemon Drop
            Ring of Fire

            Is that a nice selection?

            • Sound good to me but I know nowt

I have some hot chilli shake in 3" ? pots, when I pot on what size shall I go, I've always thought not going to big in stages. Or shall I just go bigger.

              • CG I would go straight into 1 or 2lt pots. I've gone straight into bigger pots with all my chilli's this year and it's worked well for me.

                      • I try to use MFBs but some are in half that and are smaller as a result.

                          • The pots may be smaller ?

Didn't sow til April (late) and I've not had time to do anything with them .

                            • They look good CG. When you've got the time (life does get in the way of gardening) pot them into the biggest pots you've got.
