There not that big vixylix. About 4" tall, but covered in flowers. Going to try a bit of home made hydroponics with them and the fuego & prairie fire (x2). They are all really small plants and the 4 of them only cost £2, so going to do a bit of experimenting.

I'm afraid I was a little brutal! My mini salad bar ( 8 lengths of guttering in a frame ) has been dismantled and put to one side and my spare cucumber plant is no more! ( I got 4 lovely cucumbers off him, but there were no more baby's being produced, and the 2 not quite fully grown ones were enjoyed by the chickens ). If I get any more chilli's ( never say never ) the melon plants get it !

        • Hey

          Hi fellow Chilli growers!

First year this year. Starting with shop bought starter plants a few months back. I started eating chillis n hot food quite a few years back and always wanted to give growing my own a shot.

I finally got round to it this year. I saw Aldi had starter veg pots and bought 3. Then a trip to Homebase and a Wyevale later, I now have 7 plants

          3 Sweet Pepper plants
          1 Cheyenne
          2 Apache
          1 Aji Lemon

I repotted all of them a few weeks after with some wilko pots. They've really come on strong since. I'll upload some pics soon. Just thought I'd finally post here after reading through and enjoying all your updates.

Loving my first year growing, hope everyone's grow is going well

Nice starter selection you got there . Where are you keeping them, kitchen window cill, greenhouse, polytunnle?
Are you growing anything else or are you just obsessed with chilli's & sweet peppers?
I'm growing the odd one or two chilli varieties & I do grow other veggies but I'm verging on the obsessive about chilli's
Would love to see pics of your collection.

                • My demon reds only got to just over a foot last year. I don't think they go much bigger. They do give lots and lots of little chillies. I don't think I used all mine last year

Hi New Shoots and welcome to the vine

                                Hi

I have mine in our tiny garden in containers resting on pallets. It's a little too late for pictures tonight, but I will do a photoshoot tomorrow

I have 3 Tom plants too which have just started to fruit, plus a container of Welsh Onion which I'm pleasantly surprised by, it tastes like a light Spring onion and looks pretty cool too. I've also got some Herbs on the go from seed too. Their mostly indoors, two types of basil, coriander, parsley n mizuna.

Really enjoying the whole process and have just picked n ate one chilli off the Cheyenne and off the Apache. Both green still though but was a nice moment, eating the fruits of my labour lol
