If, that is IF they fruit (were flowering before I left them, but were suffering a little from sun scorch......) I will save seed and could send you some to try ..... I'll have to keep you posted on that one .....~~~ Gardening is medicine that does not need

Most of the other plants are too big to take out of the GH safely and its just a mass of plants so they are difficult to take photos off.
But here is one of my red Manzanos - it's anout 3ft wide. Starting to fruit.

fruit are just small at the mo.
My Hungarian blacks are starting to fruit after all...I need to get some bags on there!

^^^ that's the same plant as my tri colour variegata (see post #1399). They ripen to red. If it isn't producing any more flowers...you could nip them off to try to encourage more flowers, or leave them on to ripen? It's upto you. I'm hoping mine will over winter, are you going to try to keep yours?
#I think that's the size of the chilli...they aren't a big pepper.Last edited by Scarlet; 28-07-2016, 10:56 PM.

ah in that case maybe I'll nip the majority off... I was confused when I googled cos some of them seem to imply it gets to jalapeno size?!
Havent thought as far as overwintering yet! We have a conservatory in the new house, but its north facing. will it be ok?
how do you manage to keep whiteflies off them indoors? Everything I've had indoors this year has been covered!

Ive never grown it before but they definately aren't Jalepeno size - ive got one to compare mine are about 1 and a half cm long (the biggest ones)
I very rarely get aphids indoors. This year I overwintered about 6 plants and I didn't get any. I think it's luck! Though Thelma suggests covering the soil with foil to stop some. I only ever water from below....very rarely, so plants are kept very, very dry. Any sign of a creepy andthe plants get watered under the tap. Be ruthless, if one plant starts to get covered - bin it to save the others.
It's all a bit hit and miss to be honest. Worth a shot in your conservatory though.Last edited by Scarlet; 28-07-2016, 11:29 PM.
