I would pinch them out.
I have some Royal Black seeds from Seedy Sunday if yours don't work. I grew them last year but had last minute issues and they ruddy died on me. The chillies were tiny though - looked like black bullets.Last edited by sparrow100; 11-03-2016, 07:14 PM.http://mudandgluts.com - growing fruit and veg in suburbia

Overwintered stock riddled with damn greenfly again. Considering the blighters were totally eradicated a couple of months ago - compost and pots sterilised too - I'm always mystified (and irritated) at how they manage to recolonise from nothing. Paint brush and fingers will have to do; I don't want to spray the new, tender growth that is now starting to appear.
Also seem to have lost my big Thai Dragon plant - it's too late to sow new seed of that one. Next year now. 2 year old Paper Lantern not looking great either; it underwent an extensive prune of dead material yesterday. I started feeding it early, hoping that'll encourage it to rejuvenate before dying completely. Sometimes works.
Fatalii has to be up there with Lemon Drop in terms of overwintering prowess. The Yellow Fatalii hasn't experienced a single bit of dieback, and is also the most advanced for regrowth so far. This one is a staple in my GH now. For consistancy and reliability few can beat it. (And the chillies are damned tasty too)

I grew Fatali for a couple of years - overwintered well but I can't grow them all!
Hmm, think I may have sown too many seeds....
7 Numex Sandia
3x Numex Bailey Piquin
5x Alma Paprika
2x Cyklon, have all germinated. Thanks Philthy
Also 2x royal black have managed to shake off their seed casing..with a little help
I'll wait for them to grow on a bit and get some leaves before I decide what to do and how many I can look after.Last edited by Scarlet; 14-03-2016, 09:33 AM.

I gave up on overwintering... a combination of rubbish seeds (OH bought from goodness knows where on Amaz@n), greenfly and I got sick of the sight of them
I had a headstart this year though and have sown:
* F1 Medina
* Lemon Drop
* Purple Tiger
* Numex Twilight - on the second sowing of these, this time in a heated prop -I'm struggling to get them to germinate
* Demon Red
All being well (!!) I should have a greenhouse by this time next year - so looking forward to growing some more exciting varieties courtesy of the seed circle - black naga hint hint

I have to add a few more chilli's to this years growing list. I feel a bit like a cheat as I haven't grown these from seed. But I couldn't leave them at the show.
Habanero chocolate
Habanero white
Filius blue ( that little fella is flowering already)
Dorset naga
Spaghetti
So if my last 6 varieties germinate, that will take it up to 26 varieties
I'm seriously considering going to a chilli festival
