I took a peek at the Choc habs tray and surprise, surprise, there's only one little fella straining it's way through the compost!
That's certainly surprised me. Hmmm. I would've expected your Chocolate Habanero seeds to even have begun deteriorating by this point. But not still being in with a shout. You've done well there, maintaining the right balance of moisture all this time in what is a comparatively cool chilli growing environment. A virtual pat-on-the-back, Susie

Early days, I think ... I'll take the virtual pat-on-the-back when/if I manage to keep the little one going ...

my 4 year old one is a Cayenne, and has been pruned back to about afoot and all the side branches taken off, but one which had new leaves on it, repotted it now has lots off new shoots coming out from the main stem, its looking pretty good now.
My 3 year old chilli (mr I don't know what sort it is) was cut back too but not so many side shoots.

Hi Jay, we grow them indoors, never tried them outside, they sulked in the Cheshire greenhouse.....
They're small, which is why we originally chose that variety, the one I have overwintered is about 10 inches tall, nice bushy jobs with plenty small flowers (another reason for growing it, it's actually a nice houseplant), then smallish chillies with a bit of a kick
