Chillies - what are you growing/overwintering?

That makes me feel a little better. I sowed my slightly later than my other chillies but it's hardly moving. The biggest one is 8inch tall if I'm lucky.

Mine aren't all that big either but they are starting to grow by the day now.

This is my first year growing chilli's (i have peppers as well). I have 1 numex twilight plant thats growing quite well although still quite small.

I was thinking next year to maybe try a couple of others but when looking i'm kinda blown over bu the vast choices so was just wondering what any of you would recommend and what websites you use to get your seeds from.

I make chilli jam/chutney sauces and pickles with the ocassional chilli used in cooking. Do you like reallly hot food or would you prefer something milder? What do you want to do with them?

I was talking to the guy who started the Turbo x Alberto cross and he grows them outside.. cos they don't like getting to hot.

My crosses are outside now, looking happier than the scorching greenhouse.. but the biggest one appears to have been interfered with by a small child!

Just came back home tonight after a curry and went to check my babies.

Picked up the lemon Drop and held it up to examine how it was doing and ......

the plastic pot broke and it fell to the floor.

Only damage was to the pot and not to the plant and made me realise it was close to pot-bound and needed repotting into a CFB.

My other babies are not any more ..... they are teenagers as they have reached puberty and all have flowers on, time to re-pot the Carolina Reapers into CFB's as well.

Mine all desperately need re-potting but they've just been bottom priority every time I've had a tiny window to get stuff done. Hoping today will stay dry so I can get some done when I get home!

'Scorching greenhouse .....' ? It's so cool here - sun has been out a bit today and temp in there only 26c ....... Cptn, should my chilli plants be outside then...? Didn't know it could get too hot for them, being chillis, just (wrongly??) assumed they like it hot...!!!
