Could there be a reason for this? It's putting me off buying a load of different chilli seeds this winter ready to sow in the spring. I don't want to buy them if I am not going to get anything from them.

          Annoying!!!

Could be a number of reasons Scoot......over/under watering......over feeding.......lack of airflow.....poor pollination depending on where they are kept.......don't lose heart.........I have a few different varieties.....some are dropping lots of flowers some are slow to form pods......if you want to try a few for next year I can send you some seeds

          • It'll be interesting to see how all my chilli plants are doing ... after a week of being 'left to it' ......

(Just hoping lovely old neighbour who very kindly offered to water my tom plants in GH hasn't felt the need to overwater my chilli plants ......)

The Pretty Purple which looked 'scorched' last week had seemed to be picking up - I have left them on the floor of GH, away from glass, so hoping no further damage this week - the Epsom salt spray I think perked them up .....

When I bought my pretty purple seeds, there was no mention of them being 'ornamental' - so hoping that they will be edible, Cptn..!!

                  • Susie, ive been away since Saturday. I flooded the GH floor with water for the toms. The chillies were all watered Fri night. I got back yesterday, my padrons were slightly drooped but all looking good! And it's pretty sunny here in west wilts!

                          • My purple tigers are covered in chillies - but they've not grown at all in about 6 weeks! I'm tempted to cut them all off and see if it spurs into new action!
