Scoot - I had an attack of aphids earlier in the year (well, not me but two of my Anchos..!!! ) and I followed the advice given above (Ms-T also suggested I leave outside covered in a plastic bag - it was May, so warmer..) and after squishing, washing, soapy spraying, isolating for a couple of days/nights - all was well in ancho chilli land........

They are producing hoofing great peppers now ~ and the first one has turned red just two days ago ...... happy days ....!!!

I don't, but one of the supermarkets sell 3 jalapeno types for 60p. However if I wanted them I would happily pay £1-2 for 3-6 decent chillies, especially if there were things in there that were a lil different.

                • Thanks guys, after a bit of goooooleing at big supermarket retailers some of which do hot mixed chilli selections which has the occasional super hot in the mix for £26.67 per KG. I'm working my pricing somewhere round there.
Was just interested if anyone else sold chillies or if you spend your lives in the kitchen drying, freezing, sauces, jams, chutneys and putting them in every meal you eat , probably not breakfast or do you ?.
I seem to be doing both and their only just starting to ripen. Chilli growing is getting very exciting at the moment
I should probably take some more pics.

                              • SP, I usually make lots of chilli jam or pickled peppers for gifts. Often have jars with tags and labels on ready for those peeps that pop in over Xmas. I just like handing out a little something and blokes are tricky to please.

MsT they look interesting - are you going to save seed? they may come true if he's only grown the one type?
