Planted some garlic outside last week and now it has turned really cold and frosty! Will it be dead before it gets going? Damn weather...

Mine were going great guns but with the recent cold weather have slowed down considerably. I went to re-pot mine yesterday and they were frozen solid!
Now just hoping theyre not too wet... theyre pretty resillient though, mine sat in a puddle for a few weeks last year and most of them still made it!

I top dress mine with some wood ashes from the fireplace but other than that i leave them to get on with it.
It is hard to say when to harvest, its big to harvest here very immature and they use the whole thing. Normally when the leaves yellow and fall over you get a good idea.
Glad yours have popped up Jen.I grow 70% for us and 30% for the snails, then the neighbours eats them

Any ideas on what month that is. I planted them in November (i think).
