I'd never heard of germinating seeds in bags before. Then, over the weekend I came across this video..

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dirz0WIMQi0

And then saw this thread. What a coincidence..

I think I shall be experimenting with this method as I do not have a lot of room for pots or trays...

Sounds like it's working well for you. I sowed my seeds two weeks ago into small modules, covered with plastic 'dome' top, then put on a windowsill by radiator - still waiting for something to happen ...
I'll give them a bit longer, then if nothing, I'm going to try your method!

I've had super slow germination too Susie - weird because the chillies I sowed in January popped straight up but February's arent doing much at all. I'm leaving the stragglers until its a bit warmer (hopefully in a few weeks!) - no harm leaving yours in to see if they do anything - one of my aubergine seeds has just germinated after about 5 weeks!!

Thanks Vixylix, think I'll leave them to it a bit longer then, there might be hope for them yet!

                  Patience, Susie.

I sowed my peppers in a toasty warm heated propagator on 8th Feb. The jalapenos took 20 days, two varieties of sweet pepper took 22 days and 23 days to show. I'm expecting the third variety to show any day now.
