I'm a bit concerned, some Rosada tomato seedlings I'm growing under a T5 grow lamp are getting leggy. There stems are already 3 inches long, I'm not sure why as some other tomato seedlings I'm growing are fine? how close to the lamp should the seedlings be ??

How high is your lamp set? I have mine 4-6 inches above the seedlings. No legginess.http://mudandgluts.com - growing fruit and veg in suburbia

You need the lights pretty close to stop legginess, I would say 1-2" above the plant then lift them as the plants grow. The problem is when they grow at different rates, what I did was because the lights were on chains, I was able to put the tall ones at one end & work down in height, then adjust the light to the slope.sigpic“Gorillas are very intelligent, but they don't have to be as delicate as chimps -- they can just smash open the termite nest,”
