  • Fertiliser on edible leaves

I have some inorganic balanced liquid fertisler that I've recently started to use up rather than have lying around. It's Wilko Liquid Growmore Plant Feed.

If this is poured over edible leaves (e.g. Spinach, Lettuce, etc.), are they still safe to eat? I know liquid seaweed would be OK, but not sure about this with it being a chemical fertisler.

Any doubts, I'd make sure it was washed well before eating. Does it say "not suitable for edibles" or something similar on the bottle?

Try to water the soil, not the plants

It can effect the leaves and kill them if it is too strong and left on the leaves. It has happen to me before.
I grow 70% for us and 30% for the snails, then the neighbours eats them

It says it's suitable for fruit and vegetables, I was just wondering if it's safe to eat any leaves it might catch.

I do try to water the soil but thought I'd check before using, incase it splashes the leaves!
