            I can categorically state that tomato soup won't grow in my soil. Mind you, I've only tried chucking Heanz out there, Mrs. Cambells might, who knows?

                      Judging by the amount of tomato seedlings (including some that are so close together that they have clearly come from a chunk of tomato) growing amongst my potatoes already, I've voted yes. The said potatoes are growing in compost that has been through my hotbin at 60C last year.

                        As NG mentioned that the jelly around them could be a growth inhibitor could you start some more fresh/frozen/tinned ones off after they have been de pulped to see if there is a difference?
