Is it too late to..

Is it too late now to sow sweet peppers?
I sowed two varieties into covered modules (as per pack instructions) and left in unheated GH. On 6th March - They are:
Chocolate
Quadrato d'Asti Rosso
Not anything going on in there, yet ...
What have I done wrong?

They would like a bit more heat like your chilli's. I treat them the same as my chilli's. I just sow them later than chilli's. I Sow them in March.

Peppers are more tender than tomatoes and need quite a high temperature to germinate. I do mine on a sunny windowsill above a radiator.

Do you think SP, that it'd be worth moving them indoors now, or do you think they've 'had it'?!!

Dig a couple up, see if they are alright ( not mouldy or squishy). If they still look good move them. Or sow some more. It's worth a try they may catch up.

Ta, SP, I had pretty much given up on some of my chilli seeds, and with some perseverance they mostly all sprouted.
I might just sneak a peep at a couple tomorrow - patience not a huge virtue of mine, unfortunately .......

Don't ignore it but if it doesn't work for you adapt it.....I find if I'm planting something new I will try and get a second opinion on planting instructions (on another company's website for example)

Or you could use my technique. I put an old heated blanket on to a pasting table in the hall and use that as a massive heated propagator. I've put all my seed trays onto it. I use a greenhouse thermometer on it to se what temperature I've got and just turn the thermostat up and down to get the right temp It seems to work.

Can you recommend any particular type/brand? It'd have to go in the house as my GH not hooked up with electric as yet. Ta

Even a small basic propagator like this one will dramatically speed up germination speed and success rates:

Wow, how big is your hall? I can hardly get through mine for shoes, wellies, coats, roller boots, scooters, bikes and the odd stray child from down the road! Lol. Love your set up though��
