Young tomato plant pale green leaves - any ideas?

    Remember that fresh compost will have feed in it. It is certainly possible to overfeed, particularly with liquid feeds. I think it is less likely with bfb which is in any case a slow release fertilizer.

    My instinct would be to leave them alone for a bit, making sure they have plenty of light. Keep an eye on the colour of the new growth in the middle as that will give the best indication of how happy or otherwise the plant is. If they are warm enough, light enough and have just been fed, they should start producing new dark green leaves which are often slightly curled downwards.

    I'd assess them again in a week or 2 and if there is no growth think about repotting. Others may well disagree.

      Some of mine are looking very much the same and I've given mine very little TLC other than water and the occasional rotation to get more light.

      I was putting mine down to the weather not being consistently nice enough for them to get as much light as they would like!

        Yeah! Inclined to agree, given too much TLC!

        If mine! As a few have said! I too would back off n let em get on with it!

          Thanks for the replies, funny game isn't it.
          Last year I didn't give enough tlc and had issues this year it looks like to much!
