  • It's all good stuff ...

It's not often a girl gets delivered a surprise trailer full of cow manure... (or is it :????)
But my lovely, elderly (ex farmer) neighbour, very kindly has just left me this lovely pressie.
Right then, back on with me work clobber, where's the wheelbarrow and spade and off I go!
Can't wait to see what he gets me for my birthday ........

Ooooh lovely! I'd be thrilled to bits with some lovely manure as a gift Hubby said last year that he forbids me (forbids me hahaha! ) to put 'sh!t' on the allotment but as he's not the gardener and I am then I'm going to get some in the autumn anyway and just not tell him What he doesn't know cannot hurt him, eh?

Oh Gillykat, forbids??!! Sigh, they do not have a clue, do they......????
As happy as the proverbial pig in it, Jackarmy...!!!
Anyway, manure was pretty darned fresh. Didn't take long to fork it out onto my plot, then, bless his lovely heart, he comes 'round with his rotorvator and turns my plot over. However, he's not happy, says it's far too wet, and is going to come back and do it again when it's 'dried up a bit!'
          Lovely gent!

We spent last Sunday bagging up free poo. Unfortunately it wasn't very well rotten this time. I also fall over in the mud, I like to think I fall over in style.

Mine doesn't, bless him! You would think that after 18 years he'd know by now that I just do my own thing anyway I think he's mistakenly assuming that loads of poop on the allotment will make it smell really bad for months (like some of the farmers fields up here which, I think, are sprayed with human poo! ). He's not a gardener AT ALL so doesn't realise that good soil doesn't just magically appear from nothing

Great gift susie. It happen to me last year tractor and trailer turned up with a load of fairly well rotted stuff. I'm still using it it's very well rotted now. It's fantastic.
No one rotavated it in for me though, you're very lucky.
