Turmeric and Ginger

Hi All

I am very lucky to have been given a Turmeric and a Ginger plant. Each are about a foot tall. I have put them in bigger pots but I just need to know if there is anything special I should be doing with them to help them thrive.

I know nothing about them, except they are popular in Indian cuisine, don't suppose you fancy moving to India?

My ginger, which I planted from a piece bought in a supermarket is growing well. I have two pots. I keep thrm in the conservatory in the daytime and take them indoors at night. I keep them on the dry side as they are a tropical plant.
