      Just found that three of my wintered onions haave bolted so have dug up will be nice in our Pork and Tarragon we are having for dinner tonight. Exciting as this is our first season of vegtable growing....

          Picked and ate my first young salad leaf today, far too small but I couldn't resist. One leaf from mixed cut and come again mustard leaves.
          It was blooming delicious and it has the claim to fame of being the FIRST ever home grown salad leaf that I have eaten.
          So chuffed

                Strawberries from hanging basket in GH.
                Perpetual spinach, lightly wilted in frying pan in a small amount of olive oil, finely chopped garlic, splash of lemon juice ....... mmmmm

                          One tiny, monkey nosed, crumpled strawberry (delicious!) and two (count 'em) little radishes. First tiny tastes from first ever allotment. Not quite self sufficiency level.. yet
