  • Thanks Sara

They went mad and wild when growing. Please with them as all the other stuff I was growing never worried about them!!

      • Redcurrants!

only picked 2 ounces but now that I've started my youngest will embark on daily 'raids' after school and they'll be snaffled the second they ripen

          • My first 3 potatoe plants provided around 10 potatoes each. 45 more to go! 5 of the 12 courgettes and loads more strawbs!

Feeling pretty happy for my first ever allotment with a horsetail infestation

              • A handful of whitecurrants. They could do with a little longer as they were slightly tart, but still yummy.

                  • Pulled all my garlic including the Elephant.

The normal garlic is not as big as I would have hoped for but what did I expect when it has spent all it's growing life in plastic washing up bowls.

I am glad I did as it was so wet I think that in a few days time rot might have set in.

I now stink but at least I'm safe from vampires!

Also dug up my garlic. Not as good as last year, I blame the rust!

                              • Picked a few cherries, although it was really early and they were only just ripe enough. As the tree was inherited on my allotment I didn't know what type of cherry it was. The cherries were lovely straight off the tree so I guess they're sweet ones!
