Beans n more beans

So having been reading various threads, along with 3types of runner beans, now a purple queen dwarf variety, about to purchase some borlotti seeds, thinking of broad beans, I'm going to have a go at pinto beans. Am I insane I wonder.

Does anyone grow lots of beans?
Am I missing anything? Love any beans and as I supply plants or produce to my parents more the better.

I grew borlotti beans a couple of years ago and didn't think the crop was worth the effort. Other people may have had much more luck than me, so don't take my word for it. That said, I'm going to try growing cannelini beans this year in the hope that they're as easy and productive as dwarf French beans, which are brilliant: very little work, good crop and miles better than shop-bought ones. I've also got a hankering to try flageolet beans, as I reckon they might be like dwarf French beans to grow as well.

I grow Borlottis every year (they're a type of French bean) and have sufficient to dry and eat throughout the winter. I grow 4 different varieties so I get a nice mix in the jar. Don't really bother with dwarf ones as they're a pain to pick and the harvest is a lot smaller than climbing ones.

Grew Borlotti beans for the first time last year. Smashing and versatile beans, eaten green like runners, fresh beans and dried beans for winter and we are still eating them!!! Haricot beans, well I just let the French beans go to seed and then dried them.

I'm doing borlotti beans, broad beans and runner beans for the first time this year - I'm very excited about it! In fact... I've got a bit obsessed with bean and pea seeds - I have a right collection ready for next year when I have more room

I grow the following:

Crimson broad beans - for salads
Longpod broad beans for steaming
Borlotti - for drying
Firestorm runners
Neckergold french beans - stay yellow when steamed
Cobra french beans

I usually just grow runner beans but I'm trying borlotti this year for the first time,they were in the 50p buckets at wyvale sale ages ago,bargain beans!

I'm trying two types of runner beans, just to compare them really. Also some French beans and broad beans for the first time this year.

I grow broad, runner, French (dwarf and climbing) and various others that vary each year.
There are some DFBs and CFBs in the GH as we speak............as well as Mangetout which I'm picking now.
You get good value for space with beans and peas.
