      I sow mine into guttering then once they're a couple of inches high and been hardened off I tip them sideways into a pre dug groove same length as the guttering. Seems to work for me mine are tall Telephone peas and purple podded.
      Location....East Midlands.

        I do the same Bren. Mine are looking quite good and I have been hardening them off for about two weeks. I planted them yesterday, it was lovely sunny day but cold and raining today Still, they will be well watered in

          Me too Tomorrow ~ May 1st ~ is bean, pea, melon & cucumber seed sowing day. The latter two will probably be kept at home on the living room window next to my tomatoes and melon seedling I bought last week then transferred to the greenhouse once this cold snap passes

            my peas are about 2ins out of the soil, sowed back at the end of march , slow but steady growth..
