Definitely vastly more slugs around this year.

        Tell me about it

Was wondering why none of the carrots I sowed were appearing - they were and as soon as they did the flipping slugs got them.

There must be so many of the critters that the 3 robins who regularly visit my plot can't gobble them up (either that or they are bearded bloke's giant slugs).

Indeed, there have been a lot of slugs about this winter and spring. My daffodils were savaged. Savaged! And my overwintering onions have been fiercely attacked too.

Slugs are definitely abundant on my plot this year. They have been tipping the asparagus. Although judicious use of slug pellets are now keeping them at bay.

Combination of nematodes, copper tape around every raised bed/pot and slug pellets have done the job so far, not one plant touched. *touches wood

I have lost a raised bed of carrots and one of parsnips, all in one night last week, so now its WAR.......I wish I still had my chooks, they would have cleared the slimy ones in no time..

Snugs! (sorry Alison, I know you don't like me saying that). Again I seem to already have far more acrobatic snails than slugs, but they still do as much damage. I found a big one munching through an aubergine in the stayput. I have a cunning plan to protect them in the future which I will share if it works
