  • Tomato leaves dying off

Hello all sorry about the pic I took it in a bit if a rush
I'm having problems with my Jersey devil tomato plants the lower leaves and the stem seem to be withiring going yellow and dying
Hopefully its just the variety all the other varieties
are doing fine and tbh they seem to be a very floppy week looking plant at best but apparently that's normal with this variety
The only worrying thing is this happened to me last year with a few plants and I remember cutting the dead leaves off and they just kept dying?
They weren't Jersey devil's last year I think they were Rutgers that were dying, can anyone see anything obvious?

They look really dry? How are you watering them. Are you leaving them in the GH outside at night

They've been watered from the bottom scarlet and that's the first day ive put them in the cold frame but they've been like that since I repotted them

Probably against conventional wisdom but I find I have to keep mine wet, if they get close to possibly looking dry they droop and leaves start trying to run away. If the pot doesn't feel "heavy" then they get a soak. Yours looks no worse them mine have.

Also I find they need fairly regular feeding while in a pot. Hope they take on more of the role of growing up all by themselves when they get in the garden - which looks like this coming weekend. Need a bag of manure.

They don't look too bad, but could it be that they've been too hot & damp? I find they do this if the atmosphere in the greenhouse gets too muggy.

Perhaps you've just damaged the leaves while repotting them? The top ones don't look too bad but to be honest the photos aren't the best. What's that blue stuff in your trays? When did you water last, the trays look really dry.

Floppiness can be a sign of a lack of water.

I would think about removing the bottom leaves and potting on again as deep as possible.
