  • Bean germination

Ok so my experiment to germinate pinto beans has worked. Having not germinated this way before , do I just pot them up now until they start growing and then plant up properly later?

Also I sowed some dwarf purple queen ,some a couple in a pot as didn't think they would germinate as not done them before (they did), shall I prick one out or shall I just plant them out together?

    Here's my beans.

I often plant climbers really close together, one plant one seed although bush beans I would separate and plant apart.
As for your sprouting beans, just stick them each in a pot in the GH.

Following on from my pinto bean experiment, they are doing well and now flowering. Thing is, they are just in 5" high pots and I've noticed roots starting to appear from the bottom , should I pot them on or leave as is?

They are looking very good, I would give them a few more days before potting on just so the roots will spread a bit more as I don't like the soil to crumble when I pull the plant out of the pot, cause it disturbs the roots and makes it all messy!
