Ok I certainly didn't realise they would get that tall! I'll put some stronger canes in as that's all I had at the time.

Can someone advice on the easiest tomato plant to grow outdoors in the south of England in growbags in my garden or in the ground in my allotment?

Thanks again for all your help and advice

Moneymaker are an easy, very reliable tomato for outdoors,I've grown them for the past ten years, had some problems to begin with, but once you know how big they are you know forever. As long as theyre not overcrowded they'l be alright, youll see if they do get overcrowded as they grow. You could plant them straight in the ground, they do well & saves money on grow bags.

Cherry type tomatoes are easy for outdoor growing. As they are small they will ripen faster than the larger types. You can't beat gardeners delight for quantity and taste you can also save seed from them. Sungold is another favourite although this is an F1 so you can't save seed and expect it to come true the following year. It's a little late to start more off by seed, though I would expect you will be able to pick up gardeners delight or indeed a cherry variety Tom from a garden centre, car boot etc. remember they all need staking as JJ has said.
You also need to prune them correctly - do you know how to do that?
Tie in the main stem up your bamboo cane. As the plants get a bit bigger, shoots will grow in the axils between the main stem and leaf. Pinch these out. There are some great photos on here of what to remove if my explanation is confusing !

Potty - was it you that had some photos of this?
