I'm growing a couple of Tumblers, 1 per hanging basket.

I've done it with one and with two and to be honest you don't get much difference in yield with two plants as they are competing with each other. I only put one in these days.

Is Tumbling Tom the variety or just a description? I grew "100s & 1000s" last year - about 4 plants i think and produced loads of tiny, sweet tomatoes. I used one of the hanging baskets with a water reservoir in the base and it worked a treat!
The toms were a gift from OHs uncle who knew I'd not had a chance to start anything off early in yr , he also gave me Ferline, Skykomish, Ruby and Cossack and cucumbers Gergana.
I'm growing 100's & 1000's in a hanging baske t for the first time this year - I have 9 plants in it and no water reservoir .... guess I'll have to keep my eye on it ...

Susie I never use a water reservoir. Ive done tumbler baskets before but with our temps and short season I end up with green toms, I don't mind ..I make chutney or ripen in a bowl indoors.

9 plants! I'd remove most of those if I were you, they'll be very short on compost per plant.
